It probably wouldn’t come as a big surprise to hear that Line Of Duty and Ant and Dec were among the winners of this year’s National Television Awards.
After the huge success of the sixth series of BBC police drama earlier this year, Line Of Duty triumphed in the drama category back, ahead of The Crown, Call The Midwife and Unforgotten.
Three of the show’s top cast members, Stephen Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar, were also nominated for best dramatic performance.
Meanwhile, Ant and Dec, who are no strangers to the NTAs, have already won best presenter for 19 consecutive years, picking up what could be their first of two awards tonight when they are A Celebrity came out on top by Bruce Forsyth Entertainment. Award (surpassing another of the duo’s shows, Saturday Night Takeaway).
