Lottery winning numbers were revealed with a £ 98 million jackpot at stake

The winner of the lottery became a pig farmer

For many, winning the fat prize means massive celebrations and ultra-expensive cars, but not for Susan Hardman.

When one’s mother’s numbers appeared in January 2010, she was working as a hairdresser in Eardisley, Hereford, and was “in financial difficulties”.

Instead of splashing when the £ 1.2 million win landed in her bank account, she swapped her scissors for a monkey and became a pig farmer.

Susan claimed to be happier than ever to her knees in the mud and said bringing a piglet into the world brought her “more satisfaction” than winning the lottery.

In 2015, she told the Daily Mail: “I was perfectly prepared, my clothes and makeup were always chosen carefully; now I always smell like pigs.

“Ironically, these days I buy most of my clothes at thrift stores … Friends think I’m crazy.”

Susan’s life is now a long way from her previous struggles, when she was forced to “lower the thermostat” because “she couldn’t pay the bills.”

Last year he told the Mirror, “When I won, I think I immediately turned up the heating and realized I would never get cold again.”
