Donald Trump Scores ‘Obscene’ Payday To Provide Commentary For Evander Holyfield Boxing Match on 9/11

The boxing world will receive a visit from two, uh, special VIP guests this weekend: former President Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr. They’ll be providing ringside commentary on a boxing match this Saturday (Sept. 11) — but not for free.

ESPN first reported that the Trumps signed a contract to provide color commentary on the telecast, which will air on the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The boxing event, which will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel  & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, will be headlined by a fight between former heavyweight champ Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. It’s set to air on the FITE streaming platform.

Per FITE’s website, the cost to view the event is $49.99. The father-son-duo will call the entire four-fight telecast.

“I love great fighters and great fights,” the former president said in a statement, according to USA Today. “I look forward to seeing both this Saturday night and sharing my thoughts ringside. You won’t want to miss this special event.”

A report from TMZ claims that Trump will cash an “obscene” check for his duties, somewhere in the “millions and millions” of dollars. He’ll also get a private jet to ship him from and to the location in Florida.

Fight night will include showdowns between David Haye and Joe Fournier, Andy Vences and Jono Carroll, Anderson Silva and (former Celebrity Apprentice contestant) Tito Ortiz, and the main event, Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort.

The Triller “Legends II” event featuring the Trumps as commentators will stream this Saturday, Sept 11, at 7 p.m. on FITE.
